Fortyfive Downstairs is excited to announce the Melbourne premiere of the play “Never Closer.” Set in 1987 against the backdrop of an occupied Ireland, Never Closer is “an unforgettable drama of home, friendship, the decision to leave or stay, and the possibility of forgiveness. The story follows Deirdre, who is caught between arguments, nations, and the lives she almost lived. As her old school friends gather for Christmas Eve, their differences come to light revealing a powder keg waiting to be ignited.”
Previews are Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May, with the play running through Sunday 24th May.
