Glór na nGael – Voice of the Irish is Melbourne’s Irish community radio program, broadcasting each week on 3ZZZ 92.3FM and DAB+ digital radio. The program celebrates Irish music, language and culture while connecting listeners with the life of the Irish community in Melbourne and beyond.

Founded in 1989, Glór na nGael has been part of Melbourne’s multicultural radio landscape for more than three decades. Each week the program features a rich mix of traditional and contemporary Irish music, interviews, cultural discussion and community news.

The program is produced by a team of volunteer broadcasters who share a passion for Irish culture and community broadcasting. Their programs reflect the diversity of Irish traditions and the many ways Irish culture continues to thrive in Australia.

The Irish language is an important part of the program. Glór na nGael regularly includes Irish language segments and conversations, reflecting our ongoing commitment to Gaeilge. You can read more about this on our Commitment to the Irish Language page. The entire website can also be viewed in Irish, making the language visible and accessible for listeners and learners alike.

Glór na nGael is proud to broadcast on 3ZZZ Ethnic Community Radio, one of Australia’s largest multicultural radio stations.
