Following the success of last year’s event, Irish Radio Melbourne’s Brian Gillespie is running another Summer Jam fundraiser to fight Parkinson’s Disease on Sunday 22nd November at Moonee Valley Bowls Club from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Parkinson's Disease is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. Some 50 cases per day are diagnosed in Australia, and 20% of those diagnosed are under the age of 50. The Summer Jam is an afternoon of music and song with music by Kathryn Clements, Suzette Herft and Chris Lazzaro and friends. Moonee Valley Bowls Club is located at 2A Pattison Street in Moonee Ponds (just off Ormond Rd.) Entry is $25 per person with all proceeds going to Fight Parkinson’s.
Bring along a plate to share and wear your toe-tapping shoes!
For more information, contact Brian at 0418 155 561. If you’re not able to make it on the day but would still like to donate, contact Brian and he can provide you with bank details.
Last year’s event raised over $7,500 – let’s see if we can top that this year!
