Strathmore Theatrical Arts Group presents the Martin McDonagh play “The Beauty Queen of Leenane.” The production runs from 13th – 22nd November at Strathmore Community Hall, 50 Loeman St in Strathmore.
From the STAG website, “Set in the mountains of Connemara in County Galway, the play tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely Irish woman in her early forties, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen’s first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in mood on a train of events that leads inexorably towards the play’s terrifying conclusion.”
